Contractor delivers, then walks away.
- Bespoke scope, fixed handover.
- No skin in the asset's lifecycle.
- Capacity capped by the developer's project teams.
Optimised for the build, not the operating life.
We take on the technical, regulatory, delivery and financial complexity of grid connection,
so developers can focus on what they do best.
For a century, Australian electricity meant coal and gas. Large, centralised, predictable. The grid was built around that shape.
That shape is now changing from both ends.
Over 60% of coal capacity retires by 2035. Replacing it requires 68 GW of solar, 32 GW of wind and 19 GW of batteries, distributed across the country. Each one needs its own connection — high-voltage switchyards, customer substations, overhead lines, underground cables, and balance of plant systems.
The scale of demand ahead is unprecedented: US electricity demand is forecast to grow 40% over the next decade, with hyperscaler capex reaching US$690B globally in 2026 and A$52B+ committed in Australia through 2029. In 2024, AEMO forecast 500 MW of new data centre load by 2033/34. Within twelve months, enquiries reached 44 GW — 88 times the forecast. Each facility needs dedicated high-voltage connection.
Substations, switchyards, transmission lines and electrical balance of plant make up the most complex and most critical component of any project. They are also the most underserved. Capability, capacity and certainty at the connection now decide which projects get built.
We partner to develop, deliver and operate the high-voltage assets that connect energy generation, energy storage and data centre projects to the grid. Australia's only independent, vertically integrated connection infrastructure partner. We take on the technical, regulatory and financial complexity of grid connection, so developers can focus on what they do best.
Australia's national connection pipeline has grown past 860 GW. The current delivery market cannot produce that volume.
Optimised for the build, not the operating life.
Optimised for compliance, not commercial delivery speed.
We are a new company. Our people, our companies, and our track record are not. We have been building Australia's connections for decades — now assembled, capitalised and aligned into a platform built for what comes next.
No regulated business to protect. No divided loyalties. Symphony exists to serve connection infrastructure clients. That's the entire business.
1,300+ specialists in-house. Engineering, manufacturing, construction, civil and operations under one roof. We don't subcontract the things you're holding us accountable for.
Engineered as a product, not a project. Standardised, manufactured in-house, and deployed at the speed the energy transition now demands.
Connection as a lifetime performance obligation, not just a delivery milestone. Nothing paid until we deliver. Then you're protected for life by a market-leading availability performance guarantee. Our success is tied to yours, at handover and for the thirty years of operation that follow.
Engineered for the speed and scale projects demand today. Symphony invest alongside you to deliver the quality and reliability required for the life of the assets.
Standardised, repeatable, fit-for-purpose — not bespoke.
Owned and operated for the life of the project.
This is the commitment. This is the company. This is the work.
